Isabella's 6 month Well Visit

Isabella went to the pediatrician for her well check yesterday. She weighs 15 pounds and is 26 3/4 inches long. She is floating in the 40-50% for her weight, although to me she looks chunky. Dr. said since she has consistently been in this %, she is doing fine. no concerns. We kept her on Prilosec 2 times per day and since she has been doing well on her Nutramigen formula, decided to keep her on it...if it is not broken don't try to fix it. Dr. said we should continue with her same eating schedule for now 2 meals a day at stage 2 foods. She loves her food. I think she will be eating stage 3 foods before 9 months. All is well :)

HAPPY 6 MONTHS, ISABELLA!!

Isabella is 6 months old today. I cannot believe it. Ok, let's see what has happened since the last post. Last weekend, we all had the stomach bug...first Morgan, then me, then Greg...it lasted 24 hours. Then I wound up in the ER with Isabella on Tuesday...she had croup! Come to find out, croup is caused by 1 of 4 viruses...most of which are stomach viruses, so she must have caught it from us. Other than that, things are well. Isabella is drinking more of her bottles and is loving being back at daycare. Morgan is getting ready for her 11th birthday sleepover tomorrow night. WOOHOO!

Isabella Update

Well, let's see....Isabella is now almost 6 months old. How time flies. She is doing well. She started daycare again last week, as Greg is working during the day again. She is so excited to be back at daycare. SHE LOVES IT THERE!

She just saw her pediatrician, as we were concerned that she was not drinking enough formula. Her intake went from 20 ounces per day down to 10-16 ounces. He said she was fine. She weighs 14 pounds 13 ounces and is 26 3/4 inches long. She is just below the 50% for her weight and in the 95% for her height! The Dr. said so long as she has plenty of wet diapers, drinks some formula, and eats her meals she is fine. She is such a happy baby! She is a McNab baby, that is for sure. her height can attest to that, along with her Eczema. Of course, she wouldn't be our baby without that!

Milestones:
Sits on her own
Sits up from a laying position
Tries to hold her bottle
Eats two solid meals a day and loves her food!
Sleeps in her crib!
Laughs all of the time at things that are funny!

Cute things I do not want to forget:
Falls asleep by rubbing her afghan on her face (thanks Aunt Deanna)
Sucks her lips when she sleeps
Smacks her hand up and down when she drinks her bottle
Sucks her toes
Is ticklish not only on her tummy, chest, and legs, but in between her shoulder blades

Morgan's Birthday- 11 Years Old!

Morgan turned 11 on January 15! I cannot believe how big she is getting. She has grown up so much within the past year...I am so proud of her. It is tradition on her birthday to go to Sakura Japanese Steakhouse....her favorite restaurant. She loves it because they cook in front of you. It was our first trip there as a family of four. Isabella slept for part of it then woke up for some of the entertainment. She just watched the chef cook. It was really cute. A tradition at Sakura is to have your picture taken with their Polaroid camera for a souvenir on your birthday.
