An end to our CRAZY Week!

Can't believe we finally made it to Friday...well, Saturday :) This was the busiest week since have children. Morgan had Talent Show practice and the Talent Show, Girl Scout Bridging, possible swim team practice (rained out), Karate, Girl Scout Bridging, and Chorus and Orchestra Concert. How we managed, I will never know, but we did. Bella hung in there with us. She was a trooper.

Morgan did wonderful at her Chorus and Orchestra concert. It was bitter sweet, as it was her last elementary school concert :( She did so well. She played the violin and sang. Here are a few videos:

For her last elementary school Talent Show, Morgan chose to do a karate demonstration. She did awesome. Here are some pics:

She also bridged from Jr. Girl Scouts to Cadettes. Unfortunately, her troop folded and there is not space available in other troops in the area for Cadettes. So, we have decided, along with the other girls who bridged with Morgan, to do Juliettes. This a where the mom oversees her own individual daughter's girl scout activities and is not part of troop. We will get together with the other Juliettes (Morgan's friends) and do things that are girl scout activities, though. Here are pics of her bridging ceremony:

This really is a bitter sweet time for us, as Morgan grows up and moves on to Middle School........

Happy 10 Months Bella!

Today is Bella's 10 month birthday. I cannot believe it has gone so fast already. In 2 months she will be 1 year old. It blows my mind! Let's see what has been going on here with the McNab girls...

Bella is doing so much:
Crawls all over
pulls herself up to standing and lets go on occassion
Has incredible balance
babbles alot with lots of sounds
Says "mama" "dadda" and last night started saying "DADDY"
Signs More on her own
Eating 3 meals a day, some finger foods, some table food, and some baby food
No Prilosec for 5 weeks! WOOHOO

Things she does that I do not ever want to forget:
sucks her lips when she is falling a asleep
rubs an afgan and ribbons (all in one thanks to OMI) to fall asleep
is a social baby...loves people
laughs at all things funny

Bella has her first ear infection. She went to the Dr. yesterday. She is on antibiotics. Keep fingers crossed this doesn't turn into something that leads to Croup, again. She weighed 16 pounds 11 ounces (20 percentile) and is 27 3/4 inches long (50th percentile). I asked the doctor what he thought about delaying the MMR vaccine until 2 years. This is the vaccine that protects against the Measles, Mumps, and Rubella. Some believe that there is a link between autism and the MMR, although many studies disprove this. It still freaks me out. I want to wait until Bella has a stronger immune system and more language before giving the MMR. They recommend to give it between 12 and 15 months. Bella's pediatrician does not suggest waiting but will support me if I choose to. Dr. Sears recommends delaying it too. He is a doctor who has written lots of baby books, including a vaccine book.

Morgan is growing fast, too. She graduates from 5 th grade in a few weeks. The next few weeks are crazy here, between graduation, celebrations, swim team starting, violin and chorus concerts, and a talent show. My head is spinning thinking about it all. Morgan has discovered a love for reading, something she never had before. Yesterday she was late coming down in the morning because she started a book...how cool is that?

Morgan continues to be an awesome big sister. She "babysits" Bella while I am doing things around the house. Bella lights up and laughs when she sees Morgan. The have an awesome relationship and I hope it continues.
