Fall is here....the weather is more crisp, the leaves are falling, and pumpkins are everywhere. My favorite time of the year :)

Morgan is doing well. She is LOVING horse back riding, so much that she goes two times per week to the stables. One time to ride and the other time to help with feeding and stable chores; AKA barn rat :) She loves the horses. She seems so confident and glowing when around the horses. Morgan is growing up so fast and is turning into a beautiful teenager. She got her haircut recently and her new long layers make her look so much older.

Bella is Bella.....our little fire cracker! She is having a great year so far in prek, both regular prek and PEP Pilot. She even went on her first field trip ever. She rode the school bus!!! She loved it as did she love the field trip. Bella also got her haircut real short...absolutely adorable!

September 2011

Once again, I have let far too much time pass between posts. Let's see, it was summer last time I posted. Summer came and went. We are now in our first month of school. All is going well in the school department for the McNab girls.

Morgan started 8th grade. OMG! I cannot believe it! Here is Morgan on the first day of school. Still blows me away that next year she will be in high school! She is still playing violin, starting the school year off with her new violin that she did not use much last year. She has decided to take a break from swimming and start horseback riding. She has been asking for a year now and we finally took the plunge. She is starting with a weekly private lesson now and there is even talk about adopting a horse! She is also interested in 4H and volunteering. She joined the Yearbook Committee and Ecology Clubs at school...Busy Busy Busy!
Over the course of the summer, Morgan developed a love for reading. She found a genre that she loves and she hasn't stopped since. She enjoys reading about vampires, witches, and such. Her favorite author is LJ Smith. She read 4 very large books this summer. I even caught her reading really late at night....kinda like her Aunt Joc when she was little ;)
Bella started preschool this year. She also started two days per week in the PEP Pilot class in her home school. She loves school and does really well. Bella continues to keep us busy and on our toes.
I asked Bella if she wanted to take classes doing somersaults, karate kicks, or swimming. She said somersault....so gymnastics it is. She does very well and seems to really enjoy it. She even has her friend, Madison, in class with her.

What else can I share about Bella???
Oh yeh, she is potty trainined! Thanks to Kaitlyn a her preschool...she is potty trained. She even wears panties when we go out and is learning to hold it til we get to a bathroom. We are so proud of her. Here are a few cute recent pics of Ms. Bella.

Summer Vacations 2011

Two vacations since I last blogged. First, I took the girls to NJ for 6 days. We went to the beach, rode rides on the boardwalk, hung out with family, and missed Greg. We came home after 6 days to turn around again and go away. This time, all four of us went on an overnight trip to the Shenandoah Mountains. We stayed at Skyland Resort in a 1 bedroom suite. We visited the Luray Zoo, hiking to a waterfall, ate yummy food, went horseback riding, and took a ride on a boat in the Shenandoah River. We packed all kinds of stuff into 24 hours. It was very tiring but TONS of fun!

Blackberry Picking with the girls at Butlers. Blackberries were plentiful and huge! YUMMY!

Bella going boogie boarding in her kiddie pool!

Packed and ready to leave in the morning for our annual NJ trip. Plan to beach, visit Lucy, go to Storybook Land, go on OC boardwalk, and lots more, I am sure. Excited to visit with family......cousins, Aunts, grandparents....fun, fun, fun!

While I was packing the car with all things needed for the beach, Bella decided to take a dip in her kiddie pool with the boogie board...she had so much fun playing with it. She asked for her own for the boogie board..a striped one she saw at the store. She is too funny!

Next blog entry will be from NJ....see ya!

Ok...it has been way too long since I have updated this blog. I have been updating on Facebook , and I am sure overloading everyone's newsfeed with my pictures and videos. I have decided to to start back up this blog. Not only do I want a place where I do not dominate newfeeds, but I want to be able to, at some point, print this blog into a book so my girls have a "scrapbook" of their childhood. So, here it goes. A new beginning in blogging for the McNab family!

More than 9 months have passed since I last blogged. In that 9 months, my Morgan turned 13 and Bella turned 3! Wow! Talk about craziness in our household. Here are some pics of birthdays.

Summer has been great so far. we have gone to the pool, NJ, I went to Florida, celebrated a birthday, went strawberry picking, blue berry picking x2, and blackberry picking. Cannot believe that it is almost August. August brings great things in our house......Mine and Greg's Anniversary (15 years!), vacation to NJ to see family, and preparation to structure :)

Morgan has had a pretty laid back summer. She participated in a few swim meets and achieved a few personal bests. She has discovered that she loves reading books about ghosts and has already read 2 books this summer, working on her 3rd. And to think she didn't like reading before ;) Last week and this week, she is attending a Leadership Camp. It is a Jr. version of a Counselor in Training camp. She seems to really like it and says that she wants to be a camp counselor in the future :) She is still into forensics and wants to also attend a summer forensics camp next year designed for high schoolers......yes, next summer, Morgan will be a high schooler! OMG!! Oh, and i forgot, Morgan has discovered Buffy the Vampire Slayer series on netflix. She has watched every episode and now is moving onto Angel.....funny how shows from the 80s are still around and strong.

Bella, our little devil...I mean angel ;) Bella continues to keep us on our toes. She is far to smart for her own good and for ours, as well...LOL. Bella turned 3 a few days ago. Today she said to me, with a sad face, "it isn't my birthday anymore." We still have the decorations up and she is still playing birthday party, though. On her birthday, we went to Paradise of Fun indoor bounce place in Frederick. She had a blast. Yesterday, we went to the Maryland Science Center. We had alot of fun, although it was HOT! Bella starts preschool in August and will also be attended a PEP Pilot class in my school 2 days per week for 2 hours each day. She will have the opportunity to be in a regular classroom setting with some kids who she will transition to kindergarten with and also with some children with mild disabilities, a great opportunity for all!

Greg and I are GREAT! I cannot believe that we will be celebrating 15 years in a few weeks. Our journey, so far, has been full of ups, downs, bumps, curves....but we always seem to find our way to that beautiful road that continues to take us on our journey of life :)

Until next time, which will not be long.....

WOW! Has it really been 3 months since my last post??

Not even sure where to begin. Summer is over and now it is fall.....

Morgan started at her new school in August. I love her new school. Her teachers are wonderful and she really likes it there. Now if only they put in sidewalks so she could walk to school, that would be awesome.

Morgan is swimming again for the Hurricanes this year. She had her first meet last weekend and she got her all time personal best in Freestyle...53 seconds!! That is huge for Morgan. We are very excited and proud of her.

She continues to play violin and had her first orchestra concert of the school year this week. It is a much smaller orchestra than her other school. Video and pics below...

Bella.....where do start? Ok, you know how you compare apples and oranges when referring to opposites? Well, Bella and Morgan are apples and shoes! Morgan was always my rule follower and good listener. Need I say more? Regardless, we love Bella and wouldn't want her any other way.

She started in the toddler room at preschool and loves it. She is learning so much. She continues to amaze us with the things she says everyday. She is such a smart little girl. She counts to 13, knows her colors, knows lots of letters, pretend reads, and loves playing with legos and her kitchen. She loves to sing, too! She is our busy busy girl.

I promise to keep up with the blog updates. Until next time.
